MY HEART IS RIPPED OPEN AND WORN ON YOUR SLEEVE

MY HEART IS RIPPED OPEN AND WORN ON YOUR SLEEVE

These four walls

Are the cavity of my dreams

Breathe and fall

With the habitat of the field

Glean the gall

To be taken to higher peaks

We the dolls

Of awakened and brighter beings

Fought with all

We were tethered to barren trees

Came the call

To re-leather our harried feet

Brave and raw

Unmistaken in what we’d seen

Blades once drawn

Were retreated in their defeat

I can live

in the gravity in between

blind and stilled

by the sanctity on the screen

Wipe the bill

There’s no fallacy here to free

Wide-eye’d thrill

Her morality weaning weak

Hide the hills

Of the palaces that you speak

Where the chill

Is of magnitude unbelieved

My heart is ripped open and

Worn on your sleeve

Disheveled upheaval

One moment’s reprieve

I’ve just got to go now

I’ve just got to leave

There’s nothing to show now

I’ve let it all bleed
